We know the path to Orthodox conversion can feel overwhelming — who to trust, where to begin, what's expected. That's why SAJE was created: to offer a clear, structured and genuinely supportive journey, grounded in community.

While we operate independently, our program is developed in partnership with and under the auspices of the Sydney Beth Din — ensuring a process that is both accessible and aligned with established rabbinic standards.

Our Team

The people behind SAJE

Rav Shua Solomon
CEO and Rabbinic Representative

Rav Shua Solomon has been the Rabbi of Mizrachi Bondi since 2015. He studied in Yeshivat Har Etzion for over 7 years as well as studying for a Bachelor of Education at Herzog College. Rav Shua has served as a Jewish Studies teacher at Moriah College 2015-2018, and the head of the Torah Mitzion Kollel 2015-2017.

He is currently also the Rabbinic Representative of SAJE, an organization that aims to guide people through their journey through an Orthodox conversion. Rav Shua has completed an MBA through the Australian Institute of Business and currently serves as President of the Rabbinical Council of NSW since 2023.
Candice Wermut
Managing Director

Candice brings deep experience, compassion, and dedication to her role as the driving force behind SAJE. Having served on the Sydney Beth Din and worked closely as Rabbi Ulman’s assistant, she developed a strong foundation in guiding individuals through the complexities of the conversion process.

Recognizing a need for more structured and personal support, Candice was approached to help establish SAJE. Together with Rabbi Shua and Ronni, she helped build a thoughtful, tailored program designed to support and empower converts at every stage of their journey.

Today, Candice manages SAJE’s day-to-day operations with warmth and care. She maintains close, ongoing relationships with students, offering steady guidance, reassurance, and practical support throughout the conversion process.
Ronni Meyerson
Community Coordinator

Ronni Meyerson was born and grew up in the Sydney Jewish community. She has extensive experience as an early childhood educator in the US as well as Australia. Ronni has also worked in other community roles including at Mizrachi Synagogue and currently sits on the Bnei Akiva parent committee. She is married to Rob and has four beautiful children.
Klara Gorin
Social Media & Community Manager

Klara is a SAJE alumna who began her conversion in Israel and completed it in Australia. She now manages SAJE’s social media content, helping share information, resources, and community updates with those exploring conversion and Jewish life.
